Gustavo’s Early Life

Gustavo Arnal was born in New York America in 1970. He completed his early education in New York. Most of his early life details remained private. He graduated as Mechanical Engineer from the University of Simon Bolivar. He did Masters in Finance from Metropolitan University.  There is nothing known about his parents as he kept his most details private. 

Gustavo’s Career

After obtaining their master’s degrees, Gustavo worked for several well-known companies. He served as the Senior Vice President at WBA (Walgreen Boots Alliance), where he held the role of CFO of the international division and global functions. He also dedicated over 20 years of his career to the multinational consumer goods company Procter and Gamble (P&G), serving as Vice President and CFO. His leadership skills were widely praised. Gustavo’s roles at P&G included CFO for P&G Fabric and the Home Care category, as well as Finance Director for the Finance Planning Department worldwide. Additionally, he worked as the CFO and Executive Vice President at Avon, a London-based company.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Gustavo joined Bed Bath and Beyond Inc. as the Executive Vice President and CFO. This marked a significant milestone in his career. However, little did anyone know that his life would take such a tragic turn. Sadly, in 2022, he ended his life.

Gustavo Arnal joining Bed Bath and Beyond Inc. was indeed a great milestone in his life. But who knew that will take his life? The company was going through some crisis during the pandemic. According to sources he had shares in the company Bed Bath and Beyond. When in 2022 the company decided to sell 150 stores out of 900. Gustavo had shares of value of more than 6.5 million USD. 

After two days of the decision, he jumped from the 18^th floor of Jenga Tower a building in Manhattan New York at 12:30 p.m. on 2^nd September 2022. That building a skyscraper has 60 floors. His apartment was on the 18^th floor. He was 52 years old at that time. The medical examiner in New York declared him deceased on the scene. 

According to the medical examiner he was suffering from multiple blunt-force traumas. He left no note behind. The company Bed Bath and Beyond said they were shocked and saddened by this loss. The company praised his work.

Lawsuit against Gustavo 

The week before Gustavo committed suicide he was named in a $1.2bn lawsuit against company Bed Bath and Beyond. They were accused of artificially raising stock prices. According to the company they have an internal investigation but found nothing against Gustavo Arnal. There were concerns about the company during the pandemic. The company was not doing well during Coivd-19. According to sources Gustavo was stressed out. He was revising new plans to raise money. According to sources company planned to replace him but he had given a new plan and they were waiting for it.
