In an interview with Goldman Sachs Research’s senior U.S. internet analyst Eric Sheridan, Mostaque claimed that “AI can consume knowledge very quickly and spew it back.” He said that if the memory issue is fixed, Artificial Intelligence might be ready for promotion to the analyst or associate level of work, comparable to a highly talented intern with poor recall.
The CEO of Stability AI, Emad Mostaque, told Goldman Sachs that AI would eventually replace programmers in five years. He claims that AI effectively produces new software code to the extent. It is responsible for 41% of all new software code on GitHub. He declared that the pace of disruption is “terrifying,” comparing AI to the pandemic as a “far bigger disruption.”
Mostaque made a number of predictions about how Artificial Intelligence will affect business and society in the near future. It includes how it will affect entertainment, education, medicine, and of course the IT industry.
He reminded the audience that “this is a much bigger disruption than the pandemic”. Mostaque stated that despite being a diverse model, OpenAI’s ChatGPT could pass Google’s exam for a highly skilled software engineer. In five years, he predicted, there wouldn’t be any coders.
